The car is picked up at the specified time stated on the booking confirmation and must be delivered no later than 09:00 on the day of return.


What to bring

Renter must bring proff of current address plus a valid driving licence plus a credit card issued in the name of the renter.


Drop-off / pick-up

Pick-up must be made at the specified time as stated in the booking confirmation. In case of late arrival, without notifying it, the car can be rented to another side after 1 hour delay, after which a 24-hour rental is paid. The renter must return the car no later than 9 AM on the day of return unless otherwise agreed in writing. The car must be delivered in the same condition, including accessories and with the same amount of gas. If the car is not delivered at the agreed time, the renter will be liable for damage and loss, including glass damage that occurs during the period until the car is delivered.


Cancellation of order

Renter can cancel up to 24 hours before the start of the rental day and get a full refund – if cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the start of the rental, 1 full day is paid. 



At the start of the rental period, the rental price is reserved for the renters credit card, including deposit. After the rental period is over, a review of the rental car is carried out with possible post-regulation of overrun kilometres. SMARTIFART receives payment with VISA, Visa Dankort, Master Card and Maestro. We do not receive cash payments unless the renter can present a credit card in the name of the renter.

By signing the rental agreement, the renter agrees that SMARTIFART will deduct payment for the costs incurred for repair and deprivation following the collision or other damage to the rental vehicle.



A deposit of DKK. 1000,- will be added to the booking on walk-ins by credit card.

SMARTIFART does not receive cash payment to cover the deposit.


Fines and charges

The renter is liable for all costs incurred in accordance with the the rent; including parking, traffic or other offences within the validity of the contract. It is the responsibility of the driver that the rental car is attached to a valid environmental label in the windscreen when entering an environmental zone.


By signing the contract, the cardholder accepts that SMARTIFART, as applicable law, can re-regulate (post-debtors) or change the amount of the transaction. SMARTIFART may adjust the renters pre-booked deposit or modify the reserved rental amount if it relates to at least one of the following: overrun kilometres, lack of fuel, car wash, excess damage, car hire, parking charges/expenses, speeding fines, traffic offences, or other amounts relating to the rental of the vehicle or the fee statement contained in the rental cars.


Renters liability

Renters bear full responsibility for persons and baggage transported in the rented vehicles. Likewise, SMARTIFART cannot be held financially liable for any loss incurred by travelling in the rented cars.

Rules for children

Children and infants under 132 cm must always be securely fastened in approved car seats. SMARTIFART does not rent equipment for this, and it is the renters own responsibility to bring car seats and to make sure that the equipment is properly installed according to the Danish Transport Authority´s guidelines. 


Driving abroad

Renter must state if the rental car is going abroad.

Going to a recycle station

If the vans are used in private errands i.f.b. visits to a recycling station, staff must be informed so that any bills for commercial vehicles on yellow plates are avoided. It is not permitted to carry or transport any dangerous goods in the cars.



SMARTIFART cannot be held responsible for a previous renter being delayed on the return of the rental car or for the delays in the travel plans of the new renter. SMARTIFART will inform new tenant of any delays as soon as possible by text message, call or e-mail. In case of significant delays, SMARTIFART will, if possible, offer a new hire to another vehicle.


Check the car before driving

SMARTIFART undertake to have examined the brakes, steering, signalling devices and lights on receipt of the vehicle and that these are in good condition within the applicable regulatory framework.


Glass damage/ Windshiels Stone Chip Repair

The renter is liable for all damage to any glass. A stone chip repair is 500,- / stk. If the damage cannot be repaired and the glass needs to be replaced, there is a normal own risk of DKK. 2500,-

What information do we collect?

  • We process your personal data in order to communicate with you about the requested request.

We treat your personal information confidentially and do not disclose the information to third parties unless we are required to do so by law.


When will we delete your information?

We do not store your personal information for longer than 6 month to fulfill the purposes for which we collected the information for, or as long as is required, in order for us to comply with our legal obligations to you or to similarly safeguard our rights.


How do we secure your information?

We have adopted internal rules on information security, which contain instructions and measures to protect your personal data from being destroyed, lost or altered, from unauthorized disclosure and from unauthorized access or knowledge of it. To avoid data loss, we continuously back-up our data. In the event of a security breach that results in a high risk to you of discrimination, ID theft, financial loss, loss of reputation or other significant inconvenience, we will notify you as soon as possible of the security breach.


What rights do you have with us?

Under the Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to request access, rectification or deletion of your personal data.

  • The right to object to the processing of your personal data and to have the processing of your personal data restricted.
  • An unconditional right to oppose the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
  • If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time. Your revocation will not affect the legality of the processing made prior to your withdrawal of your consent.
  • You have the right to receive the personal data you have provided yourself in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (data portability).

Changes in personal data policy

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy to accommodate new technologies, industry practices, legal requirements or other purposes. We will notify you by email if these changes are material and, if required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent.
